We get asked often about flowers grown in your garden… which ones are safe and how to process them for chinchillas. Hopefully this will answer your questions! First, flowers need to be organically grown. That means that chemical type fertilizers or pesticides have never been used on or around them. These things stay in the plants themselves and are toxic. If you aren’t sure, error on the side of caution and skip them! Secondly, to process the appropriate part of the plants, they will need to be dried before using.
